The River Bottom Bowl Company, like many small businesses got its start by accident. For years I’ve eaten barbecue from these bowls and trays at the pig pickings, parties and wedding receptions in my wife’s hometown of Summerton, SC. At each of these events, I appreciated the uniqueness and craftsmanship in each piece and was bound and determined to have one of my own.
The local dentist in her hometown, who has made hundreds of bowls and trays, graciously agreed to teach me what he had spent a life time learning about the art of making barbeque trays. After many failed attempts and much practice, I made one for myself and a few close friends for Christmas. I was blown away by their reception. Shortly thereafter, I started taking orders from other friends and people who had seen my bowls and trays. The River Bottom Bowl Company was born.

The River Bottom Bowl Company is a small family business, proudly owned and operated by Stephen and Kate Lincoln. We are the proud parents of Stewart, our year and a half old son, and anxiously await the birth of our second in September 2009. Below is a little information about each member of our family.
Stephen Lincoln
I grew up in Columbia, SC, graduating from Spring Valley High and the University of South Carolina. My parents, Dick and Patty Lincoln, still live here in town where my father has pastored Shandon Baptist Church for over 30 years. It has been one of the great privileges of my life to not only be raised in a church full of such loving and wonderful people, but also raise my family here as well.
I am an avid outdoorsman, spending what free time I have pursuing my love of hunting deer, duck, turkey and dove. I also enjoy fishing, golf, cooking and reading. I have been incredibly fortunate to make my living in the outdoors that I love, selling farms, timberland, and other rural real estate all over South Carolina.

I was born and raised in Summerton, SC where most of my family still lives. I graduated from Manning High School and the University of South Carolina with a bachelors in public relations and a masters in healthcare administration. After working at Palmetto Health more than 5 years, I retired to stay home with Stewart. I enjoy running, being outdoors and changing lots of diapers!

I like horses, dogs, and ducks. I think play dough tastes great and I like to hit Daddy with sticks. I enjoy climbing on almost anything and then jumping off of it. I love to go to the zoo with Mommy and feed lettuce to the giraffes. I also love all my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Life is great.
